Kasim states in his on-line journal that nothing is booked yet but "TNC" do plan on touring in 2008. Since Todd said he will have an "arena rock" album out in the spring, maybe TNC will be touring as his band. Or maybe TNC will have an arena rock album w/ Todd....or maybe I don't know shit, other than what Kasim and Todd have stated. Razz Cool

I sure hope so. I would like to see a new TNC studio album, a live TNC concert HD DVD, and a full scale TNC US Tour in 2008, including Kasim.

I would also love to see "The New Cars" on tour in '08 and with Kaz and "new" songs performed. Throw in more vintage Todd music for us die-hard Rundgren/Utopia fans and I'm there! Todd owns the stage when he is up there. He is a great performer and has alot of loyal followers.

I too hope they tour in '08. I've only been able to see them once.
Too bad I didn't know (or was aware) of their '06 tour.

I'm hoping I can get away to go see Todd this month. It's on a night that I have a class though - so I'll have to see...


Can't get enough of Cars, New Cars, & Todd. I bought his 'Best of' - really good! Smile

I wasn't into The Cars back in the day, but like everybody, I heard the hits and thought they were alright but I didn't care much for the production on the records. I remember my sister telling me she saw The Cars back in the '80s and was disappointed, mainly because they didn't play "Shake It Up". Anyway, fast forward to now. I checked out the videos on YouTube and was floored. The New Cars are hot; the songs sound better now with the new lineup. There is more drive (forgive the pun) and rockin' energy going on. This is truly power pop in overdrive. I'm loving this music and really hope to see the band in 2008. I'm excited.
