OK, so as far back as I can remember, my favorite band has always and probably always will be, the Cars. In fact my mom loves to tell the story about how I could sing all their lyrics before I could actually speak a full sentence. I have never had the opportunity to go to one of their concerts but I still have the cassette tapes and cd's that I listen to often and it always puts me in the best of moods! Well the other day, I was at a concert at a nearby venue, enjoying some live music with my brother, when a group of people sat down next to us. We got to talking a bit but it was very hard for me to understand what they were saying with the music being so loud, but just as the band had finished a song I politely asked the gentlemen to repeat the name of the band that he said he was in. Thats when Elliot Easton leaned over the picnic table and said, "The Cars" I am still grinning ear to ear. He will never know how much that meant to me, I still have butterflies! Keep up the great work guys and know you have influenced so many people in so many ways. Thank you for years of the best effin' music!
